Melanie Dellas is the Co-Founder/Cultural Object Preservationist of Muse Curatorial Consulting Group, a company specializing in the preservation of cultures through material collection care. She is also the Collections Assistant/Curator for the San Diego Museum of Man, where she lovingly cares for more than 300,000 archival and ethnographic objects. Melanie is also a board member for Southern Atelier/Academy of Classical Arts & Humanities, and has co-curated an exhibit for the San Diego History Center titled, Our History, Our Neighborhoods, with her focus being Little Italy; and most recently, Monsters! for the San Diego Museum of Man. She has also written a series of books on mythological creatures from cultures around the world titled, Fantastic, Fabulous Creatures & Beasts. Prior to this, she started her own publishing company with two magazines: Native American Casino and San Diego Performer, which she ran for 10 years, earning the “Best Publication Award” from the American Gaming Association. Melanie is a graduate of Purdue University with a degree in professional writing and editing, and the University of San Diego where she earned her master’s in history.
