Ciao and happy summer to everyone in little Italy! It’s hard to believe how fast this year has progressed, and how many friends we’ve made each month in 2026. To us, July feels like a year unto itself with the passing of each sunset over India street lighting up a thousand memories in the making.
As you enjoy the start of your summer, we want to put Ferragosto on your radar. If you haven’t been to a Convivio Ferragosto, it is an event full of laughter, the best food and drinks, and a token of what we stand for at Convivio: enjoying time honored traditions together. This holiday in particular stretches all the way back to the Roman Emperor Augustus, who threw lavish gifts upon the citizens of Rome on August 15th. Legend has it, Ferragosto has been celebrated in San Diego’s Little Italy ever since.
Jokes aside, we would love to see you and give you un abbraccio, share a lovely meal with you and enjoy the best evening of the summer together: August 15th. Consider this your save the date.
